Romero de Mangueira is an internationally renowned Professional Samba Dancer, Teacher, and Choreographer with a career of over 30 years. He comes from Rio de Janeiro's famous Mangueira School of Samba, (Estacao Primeira de Mangueira) with its characteristic Green and Pink colours.

Establishing his reputation over two decades as a dancer at this iconic School of Samba, Romero de Mangueira took his career to Europe with performances spanning from the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican and Sadler's Wells, to Glastonbury Festival, St. Patrick's Parade in Ireland, the BBC and ITV, Notting Hill Carnival, Ronnie Scotts and Womad Festival in the UK and Coburg International Carnival in Germany to name just a few.

Romero de Mangueira, is widely considered as one of the best and most influential Samba teachers in Europe, and has been teaching across the UK and the continent. A special introduction has been given to Romero's influential career in a documentary on the history of Samba Carioca (Samba from Rio de Janeiro) in Brazil, and to this day Mangueira welcomes him as a guest of honour in their annual Carnival parade.

The show group "Samba Carioca", founded by Romero de Mangueira, follows his energetic and original choreographies that celebrate the vibrant Carnaval Carioca and Brazilian culture. It consists of an increasing number of male and female passistas (samba dancers) all of which are his former and current student dancers in London. Their performances are ongoing and they have so far an extended presence in various private and public/ charitable functions in the UK.

Both Romero de Mangueira's classes and "Samba Carioca" show group, are welcoming new tutees and invitations for performances.
